SHOW INFORMATION

(A) The 2025 show will take place between 1st - 23rd August 2025
Monday – Friday the performance starts at 9.30pm. Friday 9th also has an additional show at 6.15pm. Saturday there are two performances (6.15pm and 9.30pm). Sunday – no performance
(A) Each performance will run for approx. 90 minutes
(A) All clients booked on one of our packages will receive a wristband that allows entry in the fast track lane. This, along with your tickets must be shown to the staff member on the night in order to grant access.
(A) The performance is always the same with the only difference being the inclusion of fireworks for some performances
(A) No performance of The Tattoo has ever been cancelled due to rain. In the event of inclement weather, rain ponchos are available to be purchased from the souvenir kiosk on the Castle Esplanade. Umbrellas are not permitted
(A) Photographs may be taken but should not be used for the purpose of commercial gain. The use of “flash” equipment is expressly forbidden
(A) Facilities exist for the positioning of wheelchairs along the front row of Sections 1–4 and 12-17 as well as at the top of Section 10 facing Edinburgh Castle. Access to the wheelchair areas in Sections 1-4 and 12-17 is via a ramp and access to the wheelchair area in Section 10 is by way of an elevator. One wheelchair ticket will admit one wheelchair user (who must remain in their wheelchair throughout the performance) and one essential companion. Accessible seating is available in the front rows of Sections 12-17 and only 5 steps from ground level. Wheelchair and Accessible seating can be purchased by calling the office on 0131 510 4540.
(A) There is only one queue to access The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and this starts at Johnston Terrace around the Hub to the Castle Esplanade. Doors open approximately 45 minutes before the start of the performance, and you are requested to be seated 15 minutes before the start of the performance. Please note, ALL Glory Days packages include fast track entry to the arena, which means you can bypass the queue.

Package and Hotel Queries

(A) Included in all packages is accommodation for chosen duration, breakfast daily (unless otherwise stated) and an Official ticket to see The Tattoo with fast track entry to the arena.
(A) Yes, we offer hotels within our packages that can accommodate three or more people in a room. These are often twin/ double rooms with sofa beds or rollaway beds, so please get in touch prior to booking if you are unsure. We also have our 1 and 2-bedroom self-catering apartments which can easily accommodate three or more guests
(A) Hotel check in and check out times will vary, and you can view each hotel’s specifications on our hotel information pages prior to booking. The majority of hotel check in times range between 14:00 – 15:00 and check out between 10:00 – 12:00
(A) No transfers to the event are included. All the hotels we offer in our packages are centrally located and never more than a 25-minute walk from the event at Edinburgh Castle. Edinburgh has numerous taxi companies which you, or your hotel reception, can arrange to take you to and from the Event
(A) Children of three years and under are admitted free of charge providing they remain seated on an adult’s lap. Children of four years and over, pay full price. There are no other Concessionary discounts
(A) Yes. There is a selection of options available. Please contact the office on 0131 510 4540 to enquire and book.

PAYMENTS

(A) All major credit and debit cards, except for American Express and Visa Electron are accepted. We also accept cheques, and our preferred method of payment is via BACS

CANCELLATION AND AMENDMENTS

(A) A non-refundable deposit of £75 per person (unless otherwise stated) is required at the time of booking. Final balance will be due by 1st June in the year the Tattoo is booked for. From this point the entire package becomes non-refundable.
(A) If you are no longer able to attend The Tattoo, please contact us at your earliest convenience. Final balances are due 10 weeks prior to your arrival, and if you are cancelling prior to this, your non-refundable deposit will be retained. If cancelling within 10 weeks of your arrival, packages are completely non-refundable. For full details please read our terms and conditions
(A) Glory Days are a member of both ABTOT and ATOL. We recommend all guests have their own travel insurance which covers individual requirements. We are not affiliated with any insurers and recommend the guest chooses the one that best suits requirements.
